Hi,

I have just had a Fibre broadband fitted and i use the online training game Zwift. Since this new BB was fitted i cant see other users in the game, which is the whole point of it.

Zwift advised the following:

"I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with Zwift. If you see no other riders, this is an issue with your internet connection and the connection to the Zwift servers. Your router firewall should allow all incoming/outgoing TCP traffic on remote ports 443, 3023, and 3025 all incoming/outgoing UDP traffic on remote ports 3022 and 3024. If you have port blocking enabled, you may need to either turn it off, or port forward to those specific ports"

I contacted Plusnet phone support and they could not help. Can anyone shed some light on this and how to fix it for me?

Thank you.

Joe

The Hub two does not block any outbound traffic, so there will be a need to create inbound port forward rules

Help can be found here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/router-user-guides/hub-two/ >How do I setup port forwarding

If you are unsure come back

Here is a working rule for UDP port 51820

It does not harm have an individual rule for each port to be opened, use the required protocol unless the rule requires both TCP and UDP then use ALL

HTH

Thank you for this, the support is very much appreciated.

Do you know how i would do this?

The firewall on the Hub is intended to block unsolicited attempts to connect so inbound ports are blocked***, unless the connection originates from an outbound connection

So the purpose of port forward rules is to bypass the restriction of closed inbound ports by allowing the inbound connection to a fixed device

" If you have port blocking enabled, you may need to either turn it off, or port forward to those specific"

You've done that by creating the port forward rules

As I said before there are no outbound ports blocked

HTH

*** There are some predefined open inbound ports, but of no consequence to you.

EDIT post a picture of the rules if you want them checked
