I have a plusnet hub2 router and a bird box camera (a present) which can only work on 2.4GHz.
When I try to connect the camera to my wifi it tells me my wifi is 5GHz and so it can't connect.

I think I should be able to split the signal to get 2.4GHz for this device but I have no idea how to do this?

Is it possible?

Do I need to buy some hardware to do this (and, if so, what please?)
And how might I go about this?

I'd be really grateful for any help on these questions . Many thanks

@Willowwanderer Welcome to the Plusnet Community Fora.

You cannot split the 2.4 and 5GHz bands on a Hub 2. What normally works in this situation is to log into the Hub Advanced Wireless settings and switch off the 5GHz band.

Once the camera is connected switch the 5GHz band back on.

Another option is described in the first two posts here: https://community.plus.net/t5/Tech-Help-Software-Hardware-etc/Separate-Bands-with-a-Smarthub-2-or-Plusnet-Hub-2/m-p/1843141#M92270

In the address bar of your browser enter 192.168.1.254 this should open up the Hub's Settings page. Select Advanced Settings, then Wireless. This will ask for a password, this is the Admin password printed on the pull out tab located on the rear of the hub. Select the field labelled 5GHz, It should change to Off. Select Save.

Turning it back on is tha same procedure.

Edit
