am considering buying a TP Link Archer AX55 router. purpose of this is to separate 2.4g and 5G into two different SSIDs (and replace hub2).

can the AX55 be plugged directly into my ONT, config my plusnet login details, and internet will be up and running?

thanks!

can the AX55 be plugged directly into my ONT, config my plusnet login details, and internet will be up and running?

@simeylad yes.

Connect the WAN port of the AX55 to the ONT. Configure the AX55 Internet connection for PPPoE and enter your Plusnet username and password. Details are here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/

You need the section , 'What settings should I use for a fibre router that's connected to a BT Openreach modem'

In a word, Yes.

You need to set the WAN Type tp PPPoE and input your Plusnet credentials, adding @plusdsl.net to your user name. See here, using the Settings when Connected to Openreach Modem option. https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/

@MisterW types faster than me.
