It is possible to contact your Hubs public IP Address from your internal network.

Firewall rules prevent external connection attempts from the Internet.

Hope that makes sense.

After making changes to an online auction sites personal settings, I got a message notification.
The notification in my ‘inbox’ outlined the changes I’d made ( I added new card details). Included in this message was a IP address. When I typed that into the browser on my mobile phone, it took me straight to my Plusnet router settings page? Is this something to worry about supposing my auction site account was compromised? Is there something basic I’ve failed to do?
Many thanks for any advice.
Cheers
G

It is - but how it can direct to your Hubs page is a bit beyond me - you need someone with greater knowledge - @MisterW ?

Thanks both for the responses!
The key thing to learn ( probs. should have realised ) is : …Firewall rules prevent external connection attempts from the Internet.
Cheers
G
