Linkstation LS-WXL not quite connecting to Hub2

Picked up a cheap Linkstation LS-WXL NAS drive. Connected it to the HUB2 via ethernet cable. I can see the NAS on the Hub Manager and I can create and delete folders in the web utility. But I can't map or see the shared (or any other) drive in NAS Navigator2, making it inoperable. Any ideas what's going on, or what's not going on?

I had a couple of these many years ago but don't remember any problems.

Can you see the IP address, maybe in the web utility or router ? If so try to access using \\192.xx.xx.xx\

Assuming you're using windows can you see it in "Network" in explorer ?

I can see the IP address. When I use it it takes me to the web utility. I can do things to the NAS in the web utility (e.g. check the disks, create folders, etc) but not access it through Navigator2 software, which I need to do to map the drive and transfer files to it.

Yes, I am using windows. I can't see the drive in Network in File Explorer.

This could be something to do with samba being an old version which is not supported by newer versions of windows,

As per Champnet's suggestion in his link, I enabled SMBv1 to see if things would work with it enabled. And they did. Trouble is, I don't want this vulnerability on my laptop or the other devices that will access the share, so thank you for suggesting some links that offer the solution of installing SMBv2 on the NAS. If I am feeling brave I will make an attempt at following those instructions.

The irony is, I bought the NAS as I couldn't attach a USB stick to the router for network storage because of the SMBv1 vulnerability. I didn't expect it to trip me up this way.
