Hi,

I'm trying to get my ps5 to connect to 5ghz only as 2.4 is just too slow for downloading games etc. The download speed im only getting on 2.4 is around 35mbs so getting it onto the 5ghz would help alot with that and actually get to my normal speed of around 130mbs.

The ps5 says its due to weak signal but the router and ps5 are in the same room like 4ft away from each other.

Can anyone help me please?

Hasn’t the PS5 got an Ethernet port? If so then a CAT 5e or better cable is by far your best bet and will guarantee your full 130 Mbps transfer speed.

An ethernet cable should also offer a marginal decrease in latency - I gather this matters in gaming.

Yup, mine is hard wired.

The PS5 speedtest is wholly unreliable, so don't give too much credit to it.
