Fast Mobile Wifi, Slow PC Wifi

Hello, I recently (3 weeks ago now) upgraded to Full Fibre 500. An issue I am having comes by way of my PC Wifi Speeds. Speed tests are only giving me a max of around 160MB, whereas my phone at the same location usually gets around 400MB+.

I am only about 10m from the router with a single door in the way, running Intel Wireless AC-9462 adapter on dual band and Intel i5 9600k, so as far as I know I should be getting better speeds; though I am no expert!

Has anyone seen this before, is this just what I can expect given my set-up, or should I be seeing more?

@Jardiniho Sounds like your PC isnt connecting to the 5ghz Wifi band. You can see which bands are being used on the 'Network status' display on the Hub 2. If the PC is using the 2.4 ghz band then you need to start looking at the wireless adapter settings on the PC

I did take a look at this previously, but does look to be on the 5 ghz band? Screen below from the Hub Two.

I also checked the Network Adapter and the 802.11 a/b/g wireless mode is set to Dual Band.

There does seem some reports of slow WiFi on that adapter but not sure how recent they are.

Max Speed 433 Mbps - I'm assuming they mean transmission speed

Try the PC right next to the router (within a metre) and see how it does.

My guess is that your phone has better WiFi than the PC.
