How do you get proper WIFI for entire house. Do plusnet provide boosters like other companies.

@andrewstuartnee Plusnet provide an internet connection to your property. They have no knowledge of the size or layout of it, which makes a huge difference to what might be needed to cover the entire house so it is up to you to provide suitable wi-fi support. I would say just forget wi-fi booster or repeater type devices and powerline adaptors, they won't do the job. you need to install ethernet cables to one or more wi-fi access points around the house to get reliable coverage.

No I don't believe Plusnet provide or sell booster etc...

I assume you've probably seen this Where to place your router

I was lucky enough to be able to do as @RealAleMadrid suggests and run ethernet cat5e cable from my router to a couple of Wireless Access Points at each end of our house.... but that isn't feasible for a lot of people. You'll need to research and find the best solution for your house/situation - Mesh systems are quite popular - if expensive but still rely on getting enough WiFi signal to each Mesh node...

RalAleMadrid mentions a number of different possible solution, all with pros and cons - you have to work out what's best for you... I suppose if you aren't already with Plusnet you could look and see if any other ISPs do provide a whole home WiFi guarantee and at what cost.

Running ethernet cable has been mentioned as the best solution. It is - as you get a solid starting point at the end of the cable.

If not considered possible for various reasons you could consider getting someone in to go external. Not the cheapest option but is future proof and requires no power.
