This might get around your problem

1) Turn the router off at the mains. This is to ensure all wireless signals are stopped
2) Using a mobile device create a 2.4GHz mobile hotspot that has the same wireless name and password credentials as your Hub two.
3) Setup your smart device using the hotspot created above. It maybe necessary to factory default the devices rather than updating the current connection.
4) After the smart device is setup and is connecting shutdown your hotspot and turn your router back on.
Hopefully this should enable your smart device to successfully connect to the 2.4GHz band of your router.

Another option to try would be to transfer the old wireless name from the previous router across to the new one.

HTH

Hi. I'm at my wits end with my new router. Its fine with devices where I search for it and enter password, but I can't get my HP air printer or my Teckin smart plugs to connect. I haven't tried my Sonos speakers yet but fear they will have the same issues. I've tried switching off 5GHz and tried all 3 available modes in 2.4 GHz, but nothing works. Should I just give up and go back to my old Plusnet router? I've wasted hours on this already!

After much internet searching, I've finally got things sorted.

For the plugs, I had to delete and re-install the app, then add each on manually but with the reset button flashing slowly (first time you hold it down you get fast flashes, second time changes to slow flashes which seems to be needed for a rest).

Sonos was ok.

For pinter, I had to delete it in computer settings, then start a new install through the HP app.

So relieved I've finally go there. It was hard work.
