You could change the hot spot to use the same wireless name and password as the Hub two, just make sure you turn the Hub wireless off

Hi folks, a car crash on Sunday totalled our broadband cabinet. Despite giving a 5 day fix it I reckon it'll take a couple of weeks. I would have thought someone would drop through our letterboxes some data soms or likewise but seems not. So it's diy:

I am thinking of buying a data sim, plug it into an old smart phone. I can see a USB port on the back of the Hub 2 . Can I tether this via USB?

It would hopefully mean I won't have to reset devices to a hot spot.

Unfortunately this is not possible with any plusnet supplied hub.

There will probably be some sort of reduction on your bill after a few days out of service but not enough to pay much towards your connectivity costs.

You may want to get another SIM unless your phone contract has loads of data on it as devices can be very "thirsty" which never really notices on fixed line broadband.
