    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks. I was hoping it would update (but guessed it probably wouldn't) before I go through the hassle of making it the main router so I could make sure it was still ok after updating, I've read some posts saying some folk saw a big speed drop when it updated and they had to revert to their pn router.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>BTHub6 firmware</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a BTHub6 which I bought ages ago and never got around to using... I am considering putting it in to service to replace my pn hub one, but I have a couple of questions on the firmware, which is really old (2019) -&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;1) is BT still pushing out updates to this router?&amp;nbsp; and&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2) assuming it is, if I have it connected as an extender at the moment for testing (IE: via ethernet to the main router), does anyone know if it will update in this state, or will it only update if it is acting as the primary router (IE: with the phone line plugged in to it)?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;I don’t know if they are still being updated, try the BT forum or simply try it for a week or so.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;They have to be the primary router to update. If you use it as an extender behind the main router firewall then arguably there is no need to update it.&lt;/P&gt;
