Hi,
I’ve got a BT Hub 6 but it won’t connect, I’ve read a lot of posts regarding BT Hub and special characters in the password, unfortunately I’m not able to save a password without a special character so is there a fix that can be applied to the hub to overcome this?

@Cary

I know that early Smarthub 6 firmware did not like special characters but assumed that this had been fixed. Are you using the common specials such as ? and !?

Alternatively, are you sure that this is your problem? A common problem is the failure to totally isolate from the Internet when entering and saving your Plusnet credentials. You must drop the connection, easily done by removing the DSL lead from your BT master socket.

This removes another path I have come across, that is, people removing/dropping the DSL connection to the BT Smarthub but using a computer to set up the Smarthub that still has a wireless link to their existing router, with that still connected to the Internet.
