      <description>&lt;P&gt;HI,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have "opened port" 44158 using the port forwarding method for the miner, i have set it for both TCP &amp;amp; UDP (file attached).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;However the hot-spot is still being relayed and the online checker&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports&lt;/A&gt; shows the port as closed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have also changed the firewall in the member centres as this was suggested in another post on this topic.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any additional advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;The firewall is off on the member centre.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The device itself is already set-up and you simply download an app and connect it to the internet and it just does everything itself.&amp;nbsp; The device being used can be seen here:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://store.rakwireless.com/products/rak-hotspot-v2" target="_blank"&gt;https://store.rakwireless.com/products/rak-hotspot-v2&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The Hotspot is "relayed" and it is recommended to open port 44158 to stop this relay&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;The IP address needs to be the one helium device is using or the device name found in the DHCP list.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you look at the event log do you see any connection attempts being made to the helium device?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Advanced Settings &amp;gt;Trobleshooting &amp;gt;Event Log&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;IN: ACCEPT [57] Connection closed (Port Forwarding: TCP [192.168.1.141]:44158 &amp;lt;-​-​&amp;gt; [MY BROADBAND IP]:44158 -​ -​ -​ [198.199.98.246]:51952 CLOSED/SYN_SENT ppp3 NAPT)&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have found what i think you were referring to, there does not seem to be anything there for port 44158, but there are some opening &amp;amp; closing of other ports.&amp;nbsp; The log is only 1min long so 44158 could of been required at a different time.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In the event log select catergory 'firewall' and then try testing the connection with&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="http://www.canyouseeme.org/" target="_self"&gt;http://www.canyouseeme.org/&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;on port 44158&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;hopefully you should get a record of the connection attempt.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you don't the members centre firewall might be blocking connections still or the testing IP address is wrong.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;There is an issue with the members firewall, it's a long thread but the issue is not resolved.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I have tried the website and the receiving a connection time out. My events log appears to be from 30th August for some reason so I couldn't even see an attempt if it was working correctly.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Based on the thread you posted it seems that this is my issue, I recently called plusnet to change my firewall to low and they said that they was not allowed to do so and i have to do it on the members centre, so it seems I must be seeing it set as off where it is still set as high.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Many thanks for your assistance on this matter, seems I will have to call plus net again &amp;amp; change to Virgin.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
