Slow broadband

When I take my laptop upstairs in my house I get a weak signal, when I am downstairs near my router it is a medium signal have never had a fast signal. Can anyone help me?

Welcome to the forums, @79Artyblue1 How old is your laptop? and which Hub do you have? What do you mean by weak/medium/fast signal?

I'm really sorry to see you're having Wi-Fi signal issues around your home.

Actually it is a Acer Chromebook 2 years old, when I click on the the broadband icon it tells if it is a medium signal or weak one

Thanks for that info, @79Artyblue1 , so it should be 5GhZ capable. Which modem/router do you have? and have you considered @Gandalf 's advice?

Do you actually see any deterioration in performance?
