Hi

On my iphone in the settings>wifi it says under the plusnet connection weak security. when I select it, it says - Weak security WPA/WPA2 (TKIP) is not considered secure. If this is your Wi-Fi network, configure the router to use WPA2(AES) or WPA3 security type.

Does anyone know how to do this or any advice about it?

We are on a fibre connection.

Thanks

Welcome to the forums, @phcleaning .

Speaking personally, I would ignore this - it is Apple being ultra-cautious and trying to protect itself from (mainly USA) customers blaming them if they get caught out/hacked through their own stupidity.

Thanks for your post @phcleaning and welcome to our Community Forums.

I'd also say there's nothing to worry about. Looks like this warning message has come about since iOS14 was released.

There was a bit of talk about it at the time Here.

Welcome to the forum. 🙂

Unless your router is really old, WPA2 (AES) should be an option, and should be used in preference to the weaker TKIP.
