Pod-Point EV charger unable to connect to WiFi

Hello everyone,

I have a Pod Point EV charger that needs to connect by WiFi to my new PlusNet Router. It worked just fine with my TalkTalk router so it must be possible.

It has a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.1 and I am able to login to it and browse to my router SSID and enter the passcode. There are no errors at the Pod Point end so I was wondering where on the router I can enter the IP address and allow the device to get online?

Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

Perhaps temporarily turn off wifi security, and see if you can then see the charging device?

Thanks for the suggestion. That was certainly the line I was expecting to be the source of the problem.

It turned out to be the device taking a new DHCP and displaying as a Gaming Controller (of which he have several on our network).

I wouldn't have got there on my own as I could no longers ee the wood for the trees.

Have now labelled it clearly and all seems hunky dorey.
