Anyone out there know where I can purchase a longer length power supply or an extension cable for a hub one? I've seen plenty of 2.1mm dc cables, but none for the 3.1mm (ish) cable the hub one takes. A 5m cable would do it.
I've read a few other posts with no solution.

Two obvious solutions.

1. Use a mains extension cable instead.

2. Carefully cut the cable and join in a longer length, making sure that the cores aren't shorted together or crossed over.

As long as it has reasonably thick wire in it, it should be OK.

Remember you are pulling 1-2 Amps through the cable, and if the copper is too thin you might drop a volt or two along a fairly long cable.

Is there an official plusnet technical department who can advise me?. I believe its 3.1mm internal (as mentioned in other forums) but there is only the 3.3mm one I found on the market.

God knows why this hub is the only appliance in the world with this power pin diameter? I have a photo but cant seem to find out how to attach it to here?

The HH 4 & 5 PSU I have here is 5.5mm OD and 3mm ID (measured with a micrometer and pin gauge).

The HH6 is the same. But it's definitely a non standard size.

Its 20 AWG cable so on a 6M length @1amp you will drop about 0.5v

I had the same problem. Despite a serious amount of searching on line I could not find an extension or even a single barrel plug to fit the power socket on the Hub One router. The usual sizes for this sort of device seems to be either a 5.5mm x 2.1mm or 5.5mm x 2.5mm. For some reason the Hub One ( and BT's hub 6) seem to use 5.5mm x 3.0(ish). Why use a non-standard plug? Are they trying to lock you into their products? - seems unlikely. Anyway I gave up and bought a TP-Link Archer AC 1200. It works well and has a standard sized plug for which there are plenty of extensions available.

I found an appropriate adaptor from here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264369952956
After some back and forth they sorted me out with the correct connection! All working fine now.
