Do you mean an ancient WNDR4500 N900?

If so you do not use it as a Router. You need to set it up as an Access Point. This might hlp. If not come back and we will look at the manual fo you.

Connect it to one oaf the Plusnet Hub LAN sockets.

So I wanted to have a router I could put upstairs and not have loads of ethernet wires going from down to up for all the different devices I have, but I'm having issues and wonder if anyone can help?

I can remember being a child and it was as simple as buying a Belkin router plugging it into the modem and that was it, but when I do that to my Netgear N900 the internet light will not go green allowing me to connect to it to set it up. Tried different wires with no luck, tried having it plugged into WAN instead of just port 1 on the hub no luck, logged into my modem (plusnet) to see what devices are connected to it via ethernet and the router doesn't show.

What am I missing here? From the info I have this should work with plusnet fiber so why can't I get it working.
