Due to upgrade to fiber tomorrow 9th December

Will my existing ADSL router continue to work when the change over happens and just require me to swap in the new hub2 router at a convenient time in my day?

Will I get and email or text to confirm when the line has been switched over?

You don't say which ADSL hub you have. A Hub Zero (2704N) is ADSL only. Both the Hub One and Hub Two will work with both ADSL and Fibre. You should get a message when the switch is complete. There will be a short break in service during the change over. Hopefully for only about 10 minutses.

Thanks so that means that I can switch over to my new hub now when it is quiet and just wait for the upgrade to kick-in

That solves my problem as I hadn't seen anywhere saying that the hub two would work on basic ADSL

That’s correct but you will probably have to reboot it after it switches over.

According to this the Hub 2 supports ADSL as well
