topic FTTP on demand in Full Fibre

Do plusnet offer FTTP on demand?

Ive noticed that my local cabinet and exchange show FTTP on demand as available, though Im not aware how I would go about ordering this connection.

Can anyone offer any advice or have any experience of this?

(Im fully aware the costs are not pretty for this, but as there are zero other alternatives, no likelihood of virgin, regular fttp or 5g any time soon, then its something im prepared to consider).

@chesterfield Plusnet don't offer ANY FTTP product at the moment, so no.

As you say you are aware of the costs for this service are steep - to say the least - both installation and monthly, have you actually asked what they would be?

Also factor in PN Termination costs.

Installation depends on distance from cabinet but say £10,000+. Monthly rental circa £200.
Not many of us consider this option for long.

Thats not an insurmountable cost, just weighing it up against the wait time for regular fttp to become available (we are apparently in the 21 to 26 schedule and openreach map seems to confirm our specifi area is included).

Current fttc serves us well enough most of the time, but there are periods when the 35mb doesn't cut it (large file transfers to and from work when remote working).

I'm also looking at starlink as a stop gap.

@jab1
I will likely have to pursue the option of having a quote prepared by one of the providers I've found online, but thought I'd see if anything has changed at PN in recent years.
Distance to our distribution point isn't too excessive 2-300 meters, some soft dig.

Further research seems to suggest starlink may be a more cost effective solution.
