topic Disconnections in Full Fibre

Hi

I previously had numerous problems with disconnections earlier in the year. This was sorted when I received a hub. I had a disconnection on Saturday and one today.

I am concerned I have a fault on the line. I checked all connections and have a clear dialling tone.

Hopefully someone from Plusnet can run a check on it

Hi @Ry2812, thanks for getting in touch and I'm sorry to hear you've seen drops in your connection recently. I can confirm when testing over your connection from this side we aren't detecting any underlying issues or faults. I can see the drop which looked to happen yesterday however this looks to be the only one of two drops over the last 10 days we've seen. As we're not seeing any underlying faults behind the drops I'd recommend monitoring the connection your side and should you see the drops look to continue then please run through the steps below as to help narrow down the cause of the drops further.

Should further drops look to persist then I'd recommend starting with basic checks here: http://goo.gl/p2tpvL

And if that doesn't help the next thing would be to rule your internal wiring out by plugging the connection into your test socket which is under the faceplate of your master socket and seeing if the drops stop. This rules out internal wiring, face plates and extension sockets as being the cause. How to locate the test socket and set your connection into it can be found here:
https://community.plus.net/t5/Library/Testing-From-The-Master-Socket/ba-p/1322242

Let us know how it goes and if the drops look to persist in this set-up.
