Slow connection 2.4G and 5G on fibre extra

Can anyone help. I have a BT smart hub connected owing to slow 5G speeds with the Plusnet router. All was working fine until recently when I started having connection issues. I ran a speed test and am getting only around 3-4 Mbps download. I checked my router and the download sync is 4.11 Mbps and the upload 10.00 Mbps. Can any one offer any advice?

Have you checked that your Plusnet credentials are still correct? Have you tried a factory reset and setting the Smarthub up again from scratch?

Thanks for the reply. I’ll try a factory reset. Do you mean my user name and password for the plusnet credentials?

Yes - thanks @adam945 - seems like there may a fault in the line. I'll post on how things go.

Hi @adam945 and @Baldrick1 - that’s things back up. Engineer has reset the router and freed the line from a plum tree that was pulling down on it. Hopefully that’s things sorted. Seems fine now. Thanks for your help!
