Hello. My address is showing as unavailable for Full Fibre, but my immediate neighbour has just been connected. Spoke with one of your agents have told me full fibre is not available.

I have spoken directly to the Kelly/Openreach engineer on-site today. Both my neighbour and my landlines come off Pole Reference: dp256. The engineer explicitly confirmed my property is served by this pole and gave me the physical Manifold ID: maagokf.

Could a Plusnet staff member please escalate this to Openreach and raise an ORDI (Openreach Data Integrity) request to link my UPRN to this manifold?

I cannot find a way to contact Openreach directly because I need the network provider's input first.

ICBW, but because you've mentioned a Manifold ID I presume your locality is equipped with fibre manifolds which were the old school method of provision rather than the new CBTs (Connectorised Block Terminals) which are now used.

If so, you may be in a similar situation to some of the houses in my locality where the poles are presently equipped with manifolds, which cannot order FTTP even though the manifolds ports are not fully utilised, presumably because the pole is waiting to have a CBT fitted in addition to the manifold (something which has happened to many of the poles around the town). Checking at https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome shows some houses are only able to go for FTTPoD whilst others show "Waiting List", so perhaps one of those results also shows for your address.

Perhaps you could post the results for your address here (after redacting any personal info) for others to comment. Enter just your postcode and choose your address from the drop down list.

Coincidentally my pole is also DP256 ...

The OP's immediate neighbour has just been connected so this suggests a CBT is in place.

Thre should be a Connectorized Block Terminal (CBT) attached to the top of the pole. They look like the attached picture.

Yes @bmc , I appreciate the neighbour has just been connected, but a Kelly installer may have needed to attend to re-connect an existing FTTP connection for various reasons, e.g. to replace a missing ONT.

I'm not sure why the Kelly operative would be giving out Manifold ID numbers, unless OR still use the term for CBTs.

Despite the checker results I reported in my earlier post, some of the houses in my street can still order FTTP.

Here's an image I took back in 2017 (when it's been approved) of a pole with both a manifold and a CBT mounted on it.

The manifold is top centre, CBT lower right of the group.

Oh wow, DP256, hello!

Thanks for that link. I have already down this one for both my address and that of my neighbour whose new fibre cable crosses my lawn.

So mine says “FTTP is not available” whereas my neighbours “FTTP is available and a new ONT may be ordered.

I still went ahead and submitted the form Brian mentioned as that was for Openreach and they have very quickly sent me an email with a case number.
So we shall have to wait and see. Maybe there is a priority situation going on here. I’m due to renew my TalkTalk contract next month and saw that PlusNet has a good rate for full fibre. Don’t want to renew my TalkTalk for another 24 months!

The Kelly Group for Openreach engineer was connecting some very fine wires in a box near the bottom of DP256 when I asked him about the post’s reference ID.
Don’t know how to upload a pic on this forum though.

Are you posting from a PC or a phone?

If it's a PC you can post "inline" by clicking on the icon that looks like a rectangle with a mountain in it or click on the paperclip below the reply window to add it as an attachment.

If using a phone you need to click on "Desktop" (or something similar) to change the view on your phone.

Interesting that the green box at eye level contains those 'plastic trays for fibre'.

Could you do a picture of the other side of the top of the pole to see if there is a CBT box at the top?
