Have you tried a factory reset of the router and setting it up from scratch?

Hi,

I was BT Full Fibre user, i can using my own router while in BT, but when i swapped to Plusnet today, my Linksys Router always has a red light on. I checked all the setting including my username and password as well as the ONT box, there is nothing wrong at all. Don't know why this will happen. Anyone have a idea, please advise.

Best guess password issues or an unwanted VLAN tag.

BT doesn't actually use the (generic) password as far as I know.

Plusnet does need the username and password (something useful from Google for once!)

yourusername@plusdsl.net (replace 'yourusername' with your actual account username) and your Member Centre password.

Set the connection type to PPPoE with an MTU of 1492.

https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/

You don't need (or want) VLAN settings for full fibre (so use "What settings should I use for a fibre router that's connected to a BT Openreach modem?")

The only change required would be to replace your BT credentials with your plusnet one.

yourusername@plusdsl.net with the same password for the members centre.

Does the ONT have more than one LAN port, if yes I suggest trying the second one.

Hi, I’ve entered my username@plusdsl.net and the same password I use to log in to my Plusnet account. The connection type is already set to PPPoE with an MTU of 1492, but I’m still getting the same result.

At the moment, I’m using the Plusnet Hub 2, and everything works fine with it. I’m still not sure what’s going wrong with my Linksys router.

Repeating an earlier post, what is the VLAN set to? it should preferably be blank or if that option is not available, 0

How complex is your password? It could be the Linksys is not happy with some of the characters used.

Maybe try a more simple one using one special character, password is changed in 'Manage Account' in the members centre.

Accepted special characters are ! ? . , : ; # $ % & + - * / = ^ ` ~ _ ( ) [ ] { } < >

Recommend typing the password and not using copy/paste.

With BT not requiring a VLAN not sure if this is the issue here but best to check there is not one set.
