REALLY slow internet today. Connection test showed no faults.

Good evening,

After stressful work today I wanted to play a few games etc but my internet is extremely slow today. I usually get 1Gbps down and despite fast dot com saying 120Mbps all websites take literal minutes to load. This forum took over 2 minutes. Forget YouTube or any other streaming tv etc.

I contacted the help via text and the Plusnet Diagnostics Bot said the line from the network to my home appears to be working well. Then they refreshed my connection but the problem still persists.

I've restarted my router twice and no change either. Could my homehub be faulty? It's been perfect 99.9% of the time connecting at 1Gbps down.

Despite these speeds websites, This forum, BBC, Youtube, Amazon, MetOffice are still loading really slow. I've reset my router again switching off for a minute and rebooted my PC again 😕

I see the Speedtest.net result, which says clearly that everything is fine, so that suggests to me that the problem is either the router, or something internal to you. Do you have another device to try accessing the troublesome sites?

@Dan_the_Van / @MisterW - any thoughts, please?

My Android tablet loads YouTube videos instantly via Wi-Fi

My wired PC was the problem. I've just changed all of my ethernet cables from Router to Switch, and Switch to PC and things have improved. Thank you for all your help.
