If the lights on the ONT do not change from their normal green states when this happens, then the issue is not the connection between the home and the exchange.

I'm having connection issues with my fttp connection since being with Plusnet. Had no issues with BT on the same fibre line.
How often are the "WAN connection WAN1_INTERNET_ETH disconnected.[ERROR_NO_CARRIER]" messages occuring?

The message can suggest a cable fault, have you checked all cables are secure on the ONT and the WAN port on the hub?

Do you notice if the Hub light is flashing orange or solid orange?

Flashing orange - cable fault between the router and ONT

Solid orange - a connection fault between your router and the upstream services resulting in the PPPoE connection drop.

@Townman

all the lights on the ONT can be green but the underlying PPP connection could drop due to a backend infrastructure issue, this results in this message

"WAN connection WAN1_INTERNET_ETH disconnected.[ERROR_NO_CARRIER]"

The Hub light will ONLY flashing orange if the WAN to LAN cable is disconnected, with ethernet connection with no PPP signal available the light should be solid orange.

@martinobr

Are you also seeing this message "WAN Auto-sensing detected port Ethernet WAN" This would suggest an issue with the ethernet cable between the ONT and Hub.
