The differences in speed could be the PC connecting using 2.4GHz signal rather than the preferred 5Ghz signal.
I see this a few times with my Win 11 laptop

I felt my wi-fi was being somewhat sluggish today. My package is 300Mb, and I am getting (PC) 49Mb with Plusnet's speed app, and (iPhone) 92.8Mb and 92.6Mb (1 metre from Plusnet hub) and 87.9Mb with Ookla Speedtest (in another room). My previous results were 309 and 306Mb on iPhone, two weeks ago. This is obviously not an issue with my devices. Before I take it up with Plusnet, is anyone else affected or has already received an explanation?

Restarted router and unplugged/plugged everything while off, including computer. It's an issue with my PC wi-fi card configuration - wiring ethernet now gives me >300Mb, so I'll keep it. Something has clearly interfered with PC's wi-fi config as card itself is determined to be working fine. No need for assistance, thanks.

You're almost certainly right about signal speed; one Plusnet test earlier today (wi-fi) gave me just 25 Mbps - the first wired PC test today - 350 Mbps. Previous occasional tests gave around 240-250 IIRC at PC - adequate for my needs. The card is supposed to select the fastest signal available, so I suspect the configuration is borked. I'll reinstall the card 👍
