      <title>Reset router</title>

      <description>Hi I'm having to turn my router on and off at least twice a day as my speeds keep dropping from 480 down to 40 everyday. Any suggestions to stop this . Thanks</description>

&lt;P&gt;I'm assuming from the 480 , that you have a Full Fibre 500 connection , is that correct ?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'm guessing that you're using wireless connections ? &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;One explanation would be that devices are initially connecting to the 5ghz band, which will support around 400-500Mb, but then at some point losing connection and reverting to the 2.4ghz band which will only give around 50Mb. The powering off &amp;amp; on of the router will cause the devices to reconnect. You should be able to get the same effect by disabling &amp;amp; reenabling wifi on the device itself.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Make sure that your devices are set to 'prefer 5ghz' if possible.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
