&lt;P&gt;but the problems apparently don't happen on other ISPs, via VPN, or using mobile data hotspots.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;A forum Superuser &lt;A href="https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Network-issues/m-p/1999979#M370715" target="_self"&gt;has escalated&lt;/A&gt; these issues to Plusnet support who appear to have '&lt;A href="https://community.plus.net/t5/Broadband/Network-issues/m-p/2000002#M370723" target="_self"&gt;seen&lt;/A&gt;' the report despite being the weekend and out of normal working hours - so don't hold your breath for a quick resolution !.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Having had a week of my partner complaining how painfully slow the internet is, whilst my experience (working from home) on the same network was without a glitch, I realised that the difference is that I'm on VPN 24/7 on my work machine. So I installed Nord VPN on my personal laptop and can completely reproduce the problem.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Without VPN:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
