    <description>&lt;P&gt;I suspect, but honestly don't know, as it is something I don't worry about, that there will be a number of these addresses for load balancing reasons, but it is nothing to be concerned about.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You could always ring Customer Support, but first-line staff probably know as much as you - much better to ask on here, where there are a number of knowledgable/experienced individuals.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have full fibre i have being doing trace routes using ping plotter and pingnoo they both find my router happily then find another private address a 172. I assume that this is the open reach box fixed to my wall I wondered if anybody could confirm this?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;That 172 address is the 'gateway' address into the Plusnet network, nothing to do with the 'openreach' box.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks so everybody has the same one then or does it vary by exchange? it just seems weird it showing as a private IP. I was just curious and could not see how to contact plusnet to ask them. Thanks again.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
