I'm not certain, but I don't think anything turns up until the first invoice after activation. Did you daughter transfer from another ISP?

A few weeks ago ...she received a 50 pound prepaid card last week out of the blue fron P net...but maybe for the not great install by a sub contractor ...they and a BT openreach engineering couldn't figure out why a TP link dumb switch was disconnecting the net connection ...And left everything connected wireless I sorted it a week later unplugged every thing and one by one connected back and worked fine

OK. Has she had her first invoice yet, and have you checked your account for any mention of referrals? Sorry I can't be more specific as to how to do that, as I'm no longer a customer myself.
