I'm not a torrent user but those DoS logs are nothing to with the torrent, they're just typical attempts to probe. In your log they occur at 15:02 whereas judging by the port forwards added by UPnP at 15:05:31 that's when the torrent was started!.

FTTP - Problem With qBittorrent

Had FTTP installed and activated today. Speeds are to spec: about 512Mbit/s download and 70Mbit/s upload. All ok there.

qBittorrent isn't working properly. When testing a download (no copyright infringement involved, obviously), at the start the speeds were as I'd expect, but after maybe 30 seconds, the download just stops dead in its tracks.

Some strange looking events in the event log of my router (Plusnet Hub 2) when this happened:

DoS(SYN Flooding): IN=ppp0 OUT= MAC= src=89.149.52.132 DST=147.147.155.85 LEN=52 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=117 ID=41084 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=60072 DPT=57410 WINDOW=64578 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0 MARK=0x8000000

(multiple similar events appear, this is just an example)

DoS - denial of service - does my router think it's being hacked?

Does this give a clue as to what might be happening and how I might fix it?

Thank you.

Edit: have added screenshot of the latest page from the router event list, if that helps

No such problems here. However I’m using a Fritzbox 7530, router rather than Plusnet’s. So your suspicion it maybe router related could be the case?

I wonder if your router is being upset by too many connections at once? So the torrent starts fine, but once you connect to more and more seeds/peers it causes the problem. Maybe try lowering global maximum number of connections in the qbittorrent settings?
