Hi,

Since a power cut yesterday evening, my connection has been dropping randomly (though infrequently). I have had zero connection drops for weeks, and now I've had 3-4 short drops in the past ~20h after the power cut. Which makes me doubt it's a coincidence.

I've just reset the router, so will see if that helps, but please could someone on Plusnet side have a look if you can see anything that might be causing it?

Many thanks!

You might get a faster result using the Plusnet "troubleshoot by text" service

@Anonymous wrote:

Thanks! I did that, but looks like they checked the router at my old address(?) because the text message response I received displayed the old postcode. I only moved to my current address mid-December. The address on my account, at least where I can see, is correctly set as my new address.

I'm wondering if the frequent drop-outs were unrelated to the power cut after all, though, because since I changed the DNS on the router yesterday evening (during the nationwide PlusNet connection issue) I haven't had any fruther drops.

Having said that, I'd still appreciate someone to run some diagnostics to check it all looks good! Many thanks!

why the troubleshooting robot is using your old address ?,

and run a line check for you at your new address !
