Secondly, I don't seem to be able to set up my 5ghz wifi as a separate SSID. Is there any way to broadcast as a separate SSID the 5ghz connection with the hub?

@theunky I'm afraid there isnt a way to do that with the Hub 2.

I've just had my new full fibre and seems the line speed is all good at 480Mbps. I am however having a couple of issues with the hub two:

Streaming services (connected via ethernet or wireless) are constantly sticking and juddering. This didn't happen on my old copper connection of 30Mbps so i wouldn't expect it to happen at close to 500.

I have tried manually setting DNS as the ones shown on your site were different to the ones auto assigned,

disabling the firewall,

ensuring safeguard is off,

rebooting router,

Is there anyone that might be able to give me an idea of what the issue is? I have an amazing half gig connection, but things at the moment were better on 30 Meg

(I had a sky router before for reference)

Thanks for any help.

Secondly, I don't seem to be able to set up my 5ghz wifi as a separate SSID. Is there any way to broadcast as a separate SSID the 5ghz connection with the hub?

Cheers all,

Dave

Ah.

Thanks for the reply. Not ideal I guess but hey. Just another quick one, my 2.4ghz wifi is limited to 54Mbps. Do you know why this is? I thought 802.11n could run faster than that?

Thanks for any help.

Dave

@theunky whilst the theoretical max is higher ( closer to 100Mb ? ), 50Mb is about right for real world throughput on 2.4ghz. As regards 5ghz, unless both your client and router are Wifi 6 capable (and the Hub 2 isnt!) then around 400Mb is the best achievable in practice.
