New Connection

Hi
My router got full fibre connection today but my phone is only at 38 mps whilst my sons is at 140 mps.
Also my router which is a hub 2 has a blue light but it's only top and bottom and not a solid ring, is this normal or will it go solid after a few days.

Yes, that's normal.

Its likely that your phone is connected to the 2.4ghz wifi band, whereas your sons has connected to the 5ghz one. It may be that your phone doesnt support the higher speed 5ghz band.

I'm sorry this is happening, it could be as @MisterW suggested but I'd like to get a bit more info from you.

Are you both using wireless connections? What devices are you both using when getting these speeds?
