My street has just been cabled up for full fibre. A flyer through my door advertises five different providers offering speeds from 150 Mb/s to 900 Mb/s at prices at or below what I am paying now for Unlimited Fibre Extra. I have been happy with the PlusNet service, except for the hassle of navigating round the website and listening to interminable musak while waiting on the phone. Will Plusnet upgrade its offer, or should I look esewhere?

Who is it who have cabled your street? If it's Openreach then Plusnet can offer it. If it's an AltNet then no they can't.

Ok. They are totally separate to Openreach, so Plusnet wouldn't be able to supply you a fibre connection over that infrastructure.
