topic Anybody on Full Fibre using a pfSense router? in Full Fibre

Plusnet Full Fibre due to be installed at the end of this month. I have used my own router running pfSense for quite a while now and it works fine with a BT modem for Plusnet FTTC with IPv4 Configuration set to PPPoE.

Would I be right in thinking I don't have to change anything for Full Fibre?

Same username and password?

And leave the IPv4 set to PPPoE?

In other words simply plug a Cat6 cable into the new modem and other end into the pfSense router and Bob is your uncle while Fanny is your aunt?

Jerry

In a word, yes!

Open reach will fit an ONT which is effectively the modem, just plug the cat6 into that.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately my order has been delayed for some reason but I will get Full Fibre at some point. Good to know that I don't have to do any configuration changes for when it does arrive.
