FTTP - Draytek 2927 - PPPoE?

Hi all,

An engineer has just installed Plusnet Hub 2 and connected FTTP, all working fine.

I used to have a Draytek VDSL installed and working fine with my FTTC connection.

However, I now have a new Draytek 2927 and am trying to get this to work with Full Fiber, but no luck so far.

My settings:

WAN1 connected to OTB ethernet.

Using PPPoE on WAN1, with VLAN insertion tag 101. Also using my username@plusdsl.net and display name for the service Plusnet. I even configured the same MAC address that the Plusnet Hub 2 has.

So first question, is PPoE with authentication and the VLAN tagging the correct setup for Plusnet FTTP?

And if it is, why do I keep getting "PPPoE: No response from serverside".

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

No, you need to disable vlan tagging.

Have you also included your password along withe the username?

Not sure, but assume you mean connected to the ONT?

No need for copying the MAC address.

I'm very interested in the DrayTek settings for use with FTTP before I take the plunge, and as your 2927 router is specifically mentioned in the following DrayTek Help Document, it would be useful for others who plan to use their DrayTek with Plusnet FTTP if you can confirm that DrayTek's instructions are correct.
