I'm considering upgrading to FTTP, but I have my own router. Can I keep using it, or will I need to use Pulusnet's own ?

That would depend on the router. Does it have an ethernet WAN interface?

As others have said, you can use your own router but do take the Plusnet one too as it will be useful to setup the line and to avoid Plusnet blaming your equipment if things don't work.

So setup the service using their router, give it a few days to ensure that everything works and then swap out for your own kit. Should problems happen at a later date then at least you can swap back to the Plusnet router to help diagnose things.

I used the PN router for the initial connection then swapped it out for a new router I'd purchased.
I'm not a fan of ISP supplied routers but as others had said it's handy to have a spare just in case.
