I guess the subject line pretty much describes what I want to do - is there any way to do this when signed in to my account? I can't seem to find it.

I appreciate why you might need to know your monthly usage, but the option to view it no longer exists, with all packages being unlimited there seemed no need for it.

However you if have a plusnet Hub Two you can see the usage from the date the Hub was last started.

So. Question to @James_B - please could you un-archive the page LINK .

Secondly, I was unable to access the source code for @Gandalf 's post LINK [I would usually access that so as to be able to quote the content of the post itself] [ie would have clicked on 'reply' then viewed the html].

"Reply" seems to have been disabled on that post (and presumably, elsewhere on these forums). What *is* going on. More "housekeeping" (?) Guessing replies to long-ago posts are rarely needed but occasionally there is validity. Has this facility now been removed altogether at some arbitrary cut-off point (?)

Additionally there seems to be no way of quoting a post link (URL) on these forums without pasting it elsewhere then using it as an html link in the source code of the post, otherwise all too frequently the link breaks and generates a page "Oops, not found" or some such.

I'd ascribe such issues to (mainly) microsoft as regards the lack of actual visible-URL (when copied) but probably lithium for the regular forum-breakage on visible links, just lately.

The (somewhat-confusing) repeated LINK references in this post are just to ensure the links from this post actually work. Hadn't expected it to be quite such a complicated process : /

@Dan_the_Van 's subsequent post offers a workaround, but it would have been good if useful info like @Gandalf 's linked post hadn't been archived in the first place.

I have to admit to being somewhat puzzled by your reply (sorry).

Yesterday - to quote a certain memorable Spanish waiter - the reaction was, simply "Qué?"

Let me try again. Am aware the post to which you replied was a little complex because of the several LINK links, so am going to do my best - here - to identify the specific relevant factors. Have subdivided into different sections, for ease of reference.

PART ONE.

Firstly, there was the quoted (by me) post from @Gandalf HERE.

This is why I asked if this was attributable to 'housekeeping' - ie a deliberate choice.

If so - and if not implemented since your tenure here - it has to (presumably) have either been put in place during the massive cull back in August 2024 - or else it's a lithium-imposed "feature".

If you could just explain why (and when) (and from where) the REPLY facility has been removed, that would be appreciated.

This was the one that threw me. That link went to @JonoH's post HERE, but it was just a single post, contents of which not exactly what might have been expected from what @Gandalf said when linking it.

Additionally the post URL ended in 1644831, whereas the archived page address (as per screenshot above) ends in M41334, so I'd figured probably not the intended link (?)

*However*. Literally whilst writing this post (screenshots are timed, as will be seen from the .jpg filenames) the link from @Gandalf's post HERE has changed from THIS page to THIS page.

So perhaps the page [or its linkage from related posts] is currently being unarchived (?) in which case thanks go to whoever is progressing this.

Probably, if they could be reinstated, that might (perhaps) offer more options, as per @pkroberts ' original question and whatever @Gandalf was highlighting when he originally linked the thread that starts with the @JonoH post.

Hi @Penny,

Part one - That thread has been manually locked for new replies by a mod/admin at some point in the past. This won't have been done as part of a bulk housekeeping task. If you feel there is value in continuing that particular conversation I can unlock it for you.

Part two/three - Yes, I unarchived the thread yesterday but I'm not sure why its replies haven't followed. I can see references to the thread being moved around and possibly merged as part of other moderation activity, which may be where things have become a little tangled. I'll do what I can to investigate and restore the thread, although I do want to set expectations that it may not be possible to recover everything if those actions have affected the original discussion.

Hi @James_B Thanks for the clarification. Hadn't occurred to me that a topic being locked could have caused the reply option/s to disappear.

I guess we're all used to mods having made the last post on any given thread, indicating that the topic is being locked, except that there wasn't any such on this particular thread.

Still puzzled, I went to look on another locked thread just to check. Found a surprising sheaf of them in General Chat - as per the page here, which dates from this week in September five years ago.

Locked threads - no final-notifications on individual threads (those looked at, anyway). So I guess it's fairly standard, then.

... so probably whatever @Gandalf flagged up (on the linked replies-absent thread) may be relevant to this (the/our current) thread. But the gandalf-thread itself isn't otherwise especially interesting so doesn't need unlocking. It does however cause one to wonder how/why it got locked in the first place.

Thank you for the overview, which explains a lot.

If you aren't able to restore the missing 34 replies - well, no worries. So much of past - relevant - stuff got wiped out in the 2024 cull, and none of that is ever coming back, so one historical thread here and there isn't going to make a great deal of difference, in the grand scheme of things.

Having said that, there's more depth to discussions here across the board, these last months (particularly since the "great greenby migration" got going) and with former PN posters noticeably returning to these forums in the last couple of months, perhaps updated info on incomplete 'themes' will gradually be slotted into place.

So one way or another, it's all good. And I don't suppose @pkroberts who asked the question "How Do I Check My Monthly Data Usage?" in post #1, would be bothered either way, especially as @Dan_the_Van 's reply in post #2 may have solved his/her issue.
