Unable to connect to certain websites

I've been unable to connect to 32SP.com and two websites I host there - theomoye.co.uk and burnthecurtain.co.uk.

I've been able to get on them via my mobile network and through our VPN, but not using our home broadband.

I've tried Firefox and Safari on MAC with the same result.

I've restarted the router with no improvement.

From what I've read elsewhere I believe this is an IP address issue. Why does it happen and how can I resolve it?

@Tringo34 On a non-Plusnet connection, the 32SP.com site gets to the 'landing' page in the address bar, but does not open, but the two actual sites open with no problem.

Yes, it should be 34SP.com.

There is nothing wrong with those websites. I can access them through my VPN and mobile network.

I get the following:

"The connection has timed out

The server at www.theomoye.co.uk is taking too long to respond.

Is your DNS returning the correct IPs :

I don't know how to check that in relation to my Plusnet connection?

The websites themselves are fine if I connect through my VPN.

Using a Plusnet connection, open a command prompt window and try :

nslookup theomoye.co.uk

So using, for example, mxtoolbox.com, I can find the IP address of the website. I would expect to. I have no problem connecting to mxtoolbox.com. Same result with the other two websites.

The IP from the Plusnet DNS, does it match what came from Cloudflare and mxtookbox ?

Could there be a content filter / parental controls enabled on your internet connection.

Yes, sorry, misunderstood your post!

The IP through Plusnet DNS matches the IP with dnschecker.org and whatsmydns.net

This is only a recent problem. I have not altered filtering or protection settings.

Slightly out of my area of expertise, and I note you sre using a MAC, @Tringo34 , but can you try a trace route to either of your sites - just wondering if your current Plusnet IP is using a route that has a slow hop somewhere (based on the message you posted earlier).

On a MAC? - I'm afraid I have no idea, as I've only used Windows or Linux kit.

I can connect to it instantly. Sounds like one of those old 'Routing issues' that we have seen before.

dnschecker.org have a tracing tool. There's a blockage at step 5, helpfully identified as ? ? ?

I did the trace again with the VPN turned on and got the same result but the website loads.

Try enabling and disabling Apple Relay, it works like a VPN when enabled.
