topic Full Fibre speeds in Everything else

I just has a couple of BT / EE guys knock on the door to say they'd be doing some work on the lines soon, sorry for any disruption. Clearly it was really about trying to get me to move provider. They did say that I should be on full fibre now, and when I said I get around 75Mbps they said that was very slow. I just re-signed up for 24 months at the beginning of May, and I'm pretty sure I was told then, that as higher speeds become available, I'll automatically be moved on to those speeds. Can any of you guys confirm that?

Exactly what PN service are you currently on? Is it Full Fibre, SOGEA (FTTC without the phone) or a legacy account that has both phone and internet.

You can check what's available to you here. Use the Address version if necessary. Full Fibre shows up as WBC FTTP.

Hi

My current package just says "Fibre". I think they changed it when I re-upped with them last month, but I've been with Free-online since long before they were taken over by Plusnet.

@John_Hull

When you re-contracted did you lose your phone service? If so, you're on a SOGEA service. This simplies things a bit.

The question now is are you happy with your current speed or do you want / need higher speeds? If the former then you need do nothing. If the latter then you need to order Full Fibre (assuming it is available).

You could phone the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 and ask what service are you on and is Full Fibre available. Another way is to login to your PN Members page and see what upgrades are on offer.

Hi

We gave up our land line last time we renewed, so haven't had one for a couple of years. I'm pretty sure the person on the phone said that our speed would go up to whatever the line would take as they became available.
