To clarify,

For the port forward rule you add the computer/device name or IP Address which is on your home network not the remote site you are connecting to.

Edit: I think you need to refer back to the apps support, maybe adding a port forward rule is not required.

I can't say for sure I do not use BTC

The Hubs inbuilt firewall allows all outbound traffic, unsolicited in bound traffic is blocked by default.

So, if port 3333 is an outbound connection then the routers firewall will allow the traffic.

However it the connection is an unsolicited inbound connection or the firewall is blocking the connection then you will need to set up a Port Forward rule for TCP to the device which is used for BTC Mining.

To setup a Port Forward rule on the Hub 2 navigate

>Home >Advanced settings >Firewall >Port Forwarding

The rule would look something like

Hope this helps

EDIT: you can check if a port is open on your Hub by using this site https://www.canyouseeme.org/

Does it sound right that? I’m clueless with this stuff but port 3333 is closed as someone has checked it for me. I’ve taken the miner to my parents house this morning and I’m getting the same issue there and they are on Virgin (like I was before).

Pleased you're back on-line.

If you created a port forward rule then I would suggest removing it if it is not required.
