I am trying to help a friend who has a free domain from FNN.

He has a domain, let's call it mydomain.co.uk

His wife has her email on it so let's say wife@mydomain.co.uk

But he is using husband@freenetname.co.uk and not his domain

The email has become extremely unreliable

They either cannot send or receive across multiple devices and I think it is time to my @mydomain.co.uk away to a new provider

I need to back their email which might prove difficult as trying both imap and pop just fails to connect suggesting a username or password issue and yet we can sign into webmail okay

A couple of questions

1. How easy is it to move the domain away? I already have some hosting.

2. After it has gone will I still be able to log into the webmail if I cannot back up his wife's emails for historical reasons

3. I assume that his email address which is fnn.co.uk will continue to work. He still has his broadband with Plus.net

Thanks

Steve
