Extra IP addresses?

Is it possible to get extra static IPs from plusnet? If so is it possible to use them with teh Hub2 router or would i need something else to handle them?

I'm mulling over putting a couple of virtual machines online..

It has been advised recently that the business has stopped offering fixed IP addresses for sale. Blocks of (adjacent) addresses were once offered on business accounts ... I am not certain if they were ever available for residential accounts.

As for how multiple WAN IP addresses are managed / configured on a router ... I have no knowledge, but I suspect that needs something more than the basic functionality of a Hub Two.

One solution is to use a L2TP tunnel such as offered by AAISP - which I've used for several years. The domestic package costs £10pm and gives one IPv4 and a block of IPv6 addresses with a max speed of 400Mbps and 5TB/m traffic. The business package costs £15+VATpm and increases the max speed to 600MBps and traffic to 10TB/m with a /29 IPv4 block available on request. There is no minimum term.

The advantage over an ISP's static address is that you can keep the same addresses with any ISP or 4G/5G connection - so a fail-over from FTTC to 4G is easy.
