I had a Hub 1 router for a few years and it started to become difficult to connect to after an upgrade to my Avast anti-virus software. I contacted PlusNet and they suggested I contact Avast which I did however this didn't really solve the problem. Sometimes it took a long time for various devices to connect to the internet even ones connected by cable.

In May this year I upgraded my Sky HD TV to Sky Q and when the guy was here from Sky he mentioned that the Hub 1 router wasn't the best. He was having difficulty connecting to it as well. Eventually I contacted PlusNet again and this time paid the £6.99 postage to get a Hub 2 router. The difference is like chalk and cheese I just wish I had done this sooner. Now devices connect almost straight away. Get rid of the Hub 1 router would be my advice it is useless or not fit for purpose compared to the Hub 2 router!

Hi Just recently my Hub 1 keeps dropping my ethernet connection to the internet. If I unplug it and plug it and plug it back into the hub it connects again and will work for 15 minutes before it ceases to work again . The wifi connection seems to not be effected but I use a cable as the wifi to where i work is weak connection. It has worked fine for years . I have checked the cable connection using an antsig apt6040 network test tool and this confirms all 8 cables are ok .Any ideas ? Thank You
