Norton about to expire in 2 days. Is there a license key or do I have to re-download whole package from plus net website

Norton from PN was only free for a limited time and if you want it to continue you will need to pay for it.
TBH there are better options out there for free, including Windows Defender.

I managed to fix my problem yesterday. Your reply I believe is wrong. I logged in to my Plus.net account and then selected :

Help and Support, Broadband, Safety and Security, Getting started with Plusnet Protect. How do I get it, Add-Ons

Then under Plusnet Protect powered by Norton (included), Select Download Now.

This takes you to the Norton website and you continue to download a new copy of Norton which contains the necessary license key. It WORKS. The only downside is having to reinstall and customise again (especially on phones) rather than applying a license key. Having said that, you would need to do this anyway for different antivirus software.

Unfortunately, I cant get this to work. From add ons, selected download PP, took me to Norton site, welcome Plusnet user etc. Signed in, went through everything, order is there at £0. When submitted get banner across saying payment method not recognised contak bank etc.
Been an ongoing discussion through questions and phonecalls with PN, now at a point where have given me a code to get discounted price and they will refund to my account as goodwill gesture. Seems even a new contract, after a previous only gets 2years free from first time signed up to PP, not 2 years each contract, so much for loyalty.
Still to find out how and where to enter the code given.

Have now been taken through the process by a very helpful PN advisor, Cameron. seem you need to create a Norton account, and input CC details. The find your product and renew. With the coupon code given was able to renew for one year at £24. The PN policy is that you only get PP for 2 years free. From then it seems to be open to negotiation.

PS once set up went in to Norton account and removed CC, Also make sure auto renew is not turned on.

See what deals are about in 12 months time

i got same problem , they say my card details are wrong , but they dont have my card detalis as it was free . i have a 2 yearr deal with plusnet protect which includes security ,and with 8 monthths to go i now have no security ., so why have i got to pay £24 ? to get whats in the contract .
