BT sport cancellation issue

Only 3 months ago I renewed my plusnet broadband deal on the understanding that I could continue with my BT sport package which we have had since we first started with Plusnet.

I have just received an email telling me that Plusnet are cancelling BT sport - the main reason I have stayed with Plusnet. I have 21 months left of a 24 month contract.

Am I now stuck with plusnet until the end of this contract, I have to say that I am not happy with the sudden change.

Also if Plusnet are part of BT why are they not continuing to provide BT sport.

I signed up to a new 24 month contract just 3 days ago (full fibre). I decided to stick with plusnet because my BT Sport subscription was just £10 a month (had it since 2020). Today they notified me that BT Sport will be removed & I'll have to pay £29.99 a month directly with BT if I want to keep BT Sport. Disappointed. I won't be paying £29.99

It's quite simple. The BT Group sold BT Sport a good while back and the new owners are starting to implement changes. The BT Sport app is going (even for those who pay the new price) and channel will be on Paramount+

Discovery+ and BT Sport is being rolled into the TNT Brand.

Just to echo what others have said, it's not that we'll no longer provide BT Sports, it's BT Sports which is going to be discontinued and replaced by TNT which is something we don't supply access to.

I too have received a user unfriendly email from Plusnet telling me to go to BT and open a monthly no contract subscription for BT sport for around £30 per month. Quite simply Im not going to pay that ammount nor as a pensioner can I afford to.

I have been a customer of Plusnet for more years than I can remember and obtained the BT Sport service via my now old Sky satellite system.

I must now look at moving from plusnet en mass, phone , mobile and internet and email and see what I can do elsewhere.

Im sure I wont be the only one.

I have to agree once our contract has finished I will be changing.

It is disappointing that BT have thrown their customers to the wall over this, my understanding is that neither Plusnet or BT customers will have access to TNT sport through their broadband package.
