    <description>&lt;P&gt;I don't think we should be running around trying to find a workaround for this.&amp;nbsp; Part of the package signed up for included the AV bundle, and whilst that was McAfee, it has now been changed to Norton, or so we are told.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Plusnet should have tested that the new setup worked correctly and didn't cause any issues etc. before pulling the plug on McAffee so that no-one was left without an AV solution. Clearly it wasn't tested in enough depth to ensure there were no snags and so here we are. Really, contingency planning should have meant that was some considerable overlap between the phasing out of McAfee and introduction of Norton to account for such an eventuality as we are now experiencing.&amp;nbsp; Sadly that does not appear to be the case.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I have kind of given up on getting Norton, and given the number of machines I have, I will need to buy something else, and I would suggest that others may wish to look at doing the same, as this could drag on for a long time.&amp;nbsp; I for one would be happy to have a discounted rate to cover the purchase of an AV suite I could find, download and install and know it was working, rather than sit and wait whilst I was exposed to who knows what online.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The ball is with Plusnet/Norton, so let's see what they do with it.&amp;nbsp; Something like this needs to be remedied quickly, as from what I read here some either are, or will shortly be, left without any sort of AV cover, which in this day and age is a spectacularly bad idea (I connected an unprotected computer to the 'net once as an experiment, and it was hit very quickly with a primitive scare-ware attack!).&amp;nbsp; If you have No AV currently, get something like Avast free as that works well and will cover you until you can get Norton sorted.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi all&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just tried to download the Norton LifeLock option to secure my home devices.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just seem to be receiving an email telling me there is an "issue" with processing my order.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone experienced this ? If so, how long fo it to be corrected ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Interesting.&amp;nbsp; I have exactly the same problem.&amp;nbsp; I contacted Norton and initially they said to wait a further 24 hours and the order would complete.&amp;nbsp; If that did not happen get back in touch.&amp;nbsp; I pressed to ask what the issue was, as I had&amp;nbsp; separate e-mails telling me there was an issue.&amp;nbsp; The support agent had no idea what the issue was.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;They ten proceeded to tell me the order had been placed on hold by Plusnet - I have no idea they could interfere with another company's order process, I must watch out when I order groceries on-line...&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I asked how this was possible, again no answer.&amp;nbsp; I was the told it would complete in 24 hours and if not to get back in touch. Wait, what...?! You just told me Plusnet placed it on hold.&amp;nbsp; So basically Norton have not got a clue what the problem is or how to fix it.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I thought I'd try Norton again, being as it's free, but at this point, given that they seem utterly clueless, free is not cheap enough.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Get yourself Bitdefender, at least that will actually work, and you'll get to download and install it too!&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I'd be interested to know if you contacted Norton and what they told you!&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Although, I'm not actually that bothered by it, I was simply curious as to how well it might work in a fully Apple setup, as it was free, seemed there was nothing to lose.&lt;/P&gt;

I have spoken to Norton, who were not very helpful, just told me product is on hold as it's not available in the UK! After the confirmation of the order I get a page showing there is an issue with the order, then I get about 10 emails over the next hour saying there is an issue with the order..&amp;nbsp; not much help I know.&amp;nbsp; Screen shot attached.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have the same messages as Keith and others, so haven't attached any screenshots.&amp;nbsp; I certainly don't get as far as even having the option to download anything, let alone install.&amp;nbsp; This looks like a much bigger issue.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I wonder if those who do decide to eventually install this Norton vaporware will have the licence for 2 years from the date of registering to download, or when this issue is actually resolved?!&amp;nbsp; It's doubly bad if you have lost the McAfee protection and now have nothing as a result of this farce with Norton.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Luckily I have all my PCs protected with something else, and was going to try it out on a Macbook, so I'm not too bothered and have now installed something I could not only sign-up for, but also download. Imagine that!&lt;/P&gt;</description>
