Slow VPN connection

For over two years I have been working from home, connected to my company's VPN with no issues.

Today my connection was, to say the least, sluggish, which I put down to my laptop not having been rebooted for a few days, so I rebooted it and reconnected to the VPN, but the connection was still very slow.

I cleared cache/history/cookies etc in my browsers but nothing changed, so i carried out a speed test. On the VPN, my download was only about 500kbps whereas on another PC not connected to VPN I was getting 54.8Mb/sec download, which is what my connection normally performs like.

My question: Has anyone else noticed a speed drop like this when connected to VPN, and have Plusnet started throttling it?

Caveat: It could well be at the VPN connection end, but none of my colleagues have reported having this issue so far.

Thoughts/Comments welcome.

I haven't noticed a drop in performance of my work VPN, PN don't throttle traffic (anymore).

Issue probably at my company's end or with my laptop.

I'll monitor things.
